2018 Watson Family Nebbiolo

2018 was an absolutely ideal vintage. After a good amount of rainfall at the beginning of the growing season, flowering conditions were near-perfect. Great weather continued from mid-December through to the end of harvest.

This wine is produced from a north-facing slope of gravel soil in the heart of the Wilyabrup Valley. Planted in 2001, this Nebbiolo vineyard has a track record of producing incredible wines to national acclaim.

The colour of this wine is an intense ruby red. The nose shows rose petals, white spice and toasty oak notes. The palate is medium bodied displaying red fruits, prosciutto, star anise and classic Nebbiolo tannin.

This wine will be best enjoyed over the next 5 to 8 years.
